In line with the macro policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of economic diplomacy and the development of non-oil exports, Kenya is regarded as one of the most important markets in East Africa and a gateway to the East African Community (EAC) and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), enjoying a strategic position. Despite its vast commercial potential, the absence of a structured and permanent center for introducing Iranian products and services remains the main obstacle to expanding Iran’s effective presence in this market. To address this gap, a plan has been developed to establish an official, centralized, and sustainable base for economic activities under the title “Trade Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kenya.”
